Senior Specialist, Bionic Solutions – Help Shape a New Technology Area at KK Group
Do you want to help build a new technology area from the ground up? At its core, Bionic Solutions is about finding smarter ways to transfer electrical power from one point to another. The potential applications are broad and as Senior Specialist, you will help define where the technology can create the greatest technical and commercial value. You will combine strong technical judgement with curiosity and an entrepreneurial mindset, working across disciplines to turn ideas into solutions that can become part of KK Group’s future business.

Backed by our long-term owner, A.P. Moller Holding, we combine strong engineering capabilities with the ambition and resources to explore new technologies and turn them into scalable solutions.
At KK Group, innovation and a can-do attitude are part of our DNA. We believe in taking ownership, challenging existing solutions and turning strong ideas into technologies that can make a real difference.
What We Offer
Bionic Solutions is a new strategic business and technology area within KK Group, and you will have a genuine opportunity to help shape what it becomes.
At its core, the ambition is to optimize how electrical power is transferred by exploring the interaction between materials, geometry, electrical performance, thermal behaviors and manufacturability. The potential goes beyond one specific product or application, and part of your role will be to explore where these technologies can create the greatest value.
You will therefore not only help develop the technology itself but also contribute to defining where and how it can be applied.
This role gives you significant influence, freedom to challenge existing thinking and the opportunity to help define both the technology roadmap and the future direction of the business area backed by the expertise and international reach of an established global group.
Primary Responsibilities
Your main task is to help turn early-stage technologies into solutions that can become real products and future business for KK Group. You will work closely with your manager and colleagues across engineering, acting as a technical sparring partner and helping to set direction in an area where many of the answers have yet to be defined.
You will:
Drive and challenge technical concepts across mechanics, electrical engineering, materials and thermal behaviors
Help define the technical roadmap and identify promising applications for the technologies
Turn complex technical challenges into clear priorities and next steps
Set directions for modelling, simulation and testing, and assess the quality and relevance of the results
Work with colleagues, suppliers and partners to develop solutions that are technically strong, scalable and commercially relevant
Bring technologies from early exploration towards mature, producible solutions that can eventually become part of KK Group’s existing business
Your Qualifications
We are looking for a technically strong and curious profile who enjoys working with complex challenges where the solution is not defined in advance. You will typically bring:
A background in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, thermodynamics, physics or a related technical field
Strong understanding of how mechanics, electrical behaviors, materials and thermal effects interact
Experience with complex products, systems or technology development
Insight into modelling and simulation, such as CFD or EMAG, and the ability to assess assumptions, results and limitations
The ability to structure open-ended technical problems and turn them into clear recommendations
Strong collaboration and communication skills across technical disciplines
A pragmatic and entrepreneurial mindset with the drive to explore, challenge and move ideas forward
You do not need to be the specialist who runs every calculation yourself. What matters is your ability to understand the problem, ask the right questions, connect different technical disciplines and make sound technical decisions.
The role is based at KK Group’s office in Ikast, with flexibility for hybrid work from home or from the offices in Kolding or Hammel.
