Strategic Sourcing Manager to drive Category Management at RTX A/S
Would you like to help shape the future of Strategic Sourcing in a global technology company? At RTX, we are strengthening our Category Management approach and are looking for a Strategic Sourcing Manager who can combine analytical insight, commercial judgement and technical curiosity to create measurable value across our supply base.
About RTX
RTX is a global technology company that designs, develops and manufactures advanced wireless communication solutions for customers within Enterprise, Healthcare and Professional Audio.
Headquartered in Nørresundby, Denmark, RTX employs more than 300 people across Denmark, Hong Kong, Romania and the US. We work closely with global technology brands, delivering customized solutions from concept and development through production and full product lifecycle management.
Our combination of deep technical expertise, global partnerships and in-house development capabilities enables us to turn complex wireless technologies into reliable solutions that create value for our customers and their end users.
What we offer
Strategic Sourcing at RTX is entering a new phase. We are moving from a more project-oriented sourcing setup to a structured Category Management approach, and you will play an important role in that development.
You will join a small and experienced Global Sourcing team with significant influence on priorities, methods and sourcing strategies. Working closely with Engineering, R&D and Operations, you will have the opportunity to shape how RTX works with categories, suppliers, cost optimization and supply resilience going forward.
You will report to the Director, Global Sourcing and be based at our headquarters in Nørresundby.
Your responsibilities
You will be responsible for selected sourcing categories and develop strategies based on spend analysis, market insight, supplier performance and business requirements. A central part of the role is to identify opportunities across products and projects and translate them into sourcing initiatives that improve cost, competitiveness and supply security.
You will work closely with technical stakeholders when evaluating components, alternative solutions and second-source opportunities, while also strengthening RTX’s commercial position towards suppliers and EMS partners. Your key responsibilities include:
· Develop and implement category strategies based on spending, market and supplier analysis.
· Identify and execute cost reduction opportunities through bundling, standardization and supplier consolidation.
· Develop second-source and dual-source solutions to reduce supply risk.
· Work with Engineering and R&D on alternative components and technical specifications.
· Build market and supplier intelligence to support sourcing decisions and negotiations.
· Negotiate strategic prices, contracts and commercial terms.
· Strengthening collaboration with EMS partners and contribute to the development of a more focused partner setup.
· Support initiatives that improve long-term delivery performance and supply resilience.
Your qualifications
We are looking for a sourcing professional with strong analytical capabilities, commercial understanding and an interest in technology.
You may already have solid experience within Category Management and Strategic Sourcing, or you may come from an electronics or manufacturing environment where you have worked strategically with suppliers and components. The exact combination is less important than your ability to understand the business, challenge existing solutions and drive initiatives over time. We expect you to:
· Have experience in Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, procurement or supplier management.
· Be confident working with spend analysis, market data and sourcing strategies.
· Have experience from a manufacturing or technology-driven environment, preferably involving electronics, components or EMS partners.
· Understand the interaction between sourcing, Engineering and R&D.
· Have strong negotiation skills and experience with contracts, suppliers and cost optimization.
· Be analytical, structured and able to turn complex information into clear recommendations.
· Be persistent and comfortable driving initiatives that require alignment across several stakeholders.
· Communicate professionally in English and Danish in an international environment.
A relevant degree within Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or a related field is an advantage, but practical experience, mindset and your ability to create results are equally important.
